Contact Sharing — Send Your Info as a vCard (.vcf)

Sharing Demo 1

Share your contact the professional way—outbound only. With SphereCard NFC, you send a .vcf card to nearby devices. No “tap-to-open,” no data reading, no surprises.

Why SphereCard’s NFC Is Different (and Safer)

  • Outbound only: You transmit your vCard (.vcf). You do not read or pull data from anyone’s phone.

  • No “tap-to-open” tricks: We avoid behaviors that can feel intrusive or suspicious.

  • Clear consent: The recipient chooses to open/save your contact—just like any shared file.

Privacy note: Your phone only sends your contact card. It never reads from the other device.

How NFC Contact Sharing Works (Simple Flow)

  1. Open SphereCard and choose Share → NFC Contact.

  2. Hold devices close (NFC range) to send your .vcf.

  3. The recipient confirms and saves your contact.

  4. They can tap your SphereCard URL anytime to message, video chat, or book.

When to Use NFC vs. QR vs. Link

  • NFC (.vcf send): Ideal for in-person intros where you want to land in contacts, not just open a page.

  • QR (opens profile): Best for signage, print, events, and group situations—scan from a distance.

  • Direct link: Perfect for DMs, email signatures, and follow-ups.

Setup & Best Practices

  • Keep your SphereCard profile current. The vCard includes your SphereCard URL for live updates.

  • Announce the action: Say “I’m sending you my contact card now,” to set expectations.

  • Offer choice: “Prefer scan or link?” Some recipients like QR or a texted link instead.

  • Add notes: Encourage recipients to add a quick note (e.g., “Met at Expo Booth 23”) when saving.

Teams & Events

    • Give each rep their own NFC vCard profile.

    • Standardize fields (name, title, region) to maintain brand consistency.

    • Combine with table-top QR for crowds; use NFC for 1:1 exchanges.
